Hadza women have a positive experience of menopause and have increased productivity which helps them provision for their grandchildren. I discuss lifestyle factors that contribute (physiologically normal life include menarche, early pregnancy in teenage years, breast feeding for 2-3 years, multiple spaced out pregnancies; healthy weight, high levels of physical activity and exercise, good diet high in fibre without overly processed foods or alcohol, no artificial light or circadian rhythm disruption, normal insulin and melatonin, low stress and no endocrine disruptors) as well as the grandmother hypothesis.
